Ricardo Williams Starts The Year Off With Another R&B Classic

After an amazing year and riding the momentum of his last R&B smash 'Deeper' which was track of the week on BBC’s 1Xtra, Ricardo Williams team up with none other than the incredibly talented, vocal Powerhouse ShezAr (sister of Singer/producer Labrinth) to deliver a truly sultry R&B classic.

The song touches on the oh so familiar his & hers F.A.Q’s that tends to pop up at some point within relationship's being: "Are you keeping it 100 with me?"

Ricardo and ShezAr play out these age-old conversations and scenarios on the track, weaved in with luscious harmonies, sultry vocals and passion.

Born in Jamaica raised in hackney and settled in Birmingham. Ricardo Williams was always surrounded by musical influences during his childhood.

“I started singing at age 7,” recalls Ricardo. “Since then, I wanted to expand my musical involvement, so I started singing in talent shows, school plays, church and around friends and family.”

The next step for Ricardo was to create and share his own music, so at the age of 12, he began writing his own lyrics to various instrumentals. Influenced by artists such as Boyz II Men, Donnie Hathaway, H-Town, Dru Hill, Jodeci, Tank and Dave Hollister Ricardo already had a set of strong models from which he was able to create his own blueprint.

“I think a lot of people try to recreate the songs of the past. I try to recreate the feelings of what I lovedabout those songs. I try to make my own melodies that bring out those feelings in people. When I write I want you to feel whatever emotion I am going through. I want it to feel personal. I want you to feel like you are in my life.”
